Kartik Aaryan to headline Karan Johar’s mythological film Kaaliya

Actor Kartik Aaryan is reportedly set to headline ‘Kaaliya’, an ambitious mythological creature feature produced by Dharma Productions. The project marks a professional reunion between Aaryan and director Karan Johar, following a highly publicized fallout regarding the film ‘Dostana 2’ in 2021.

Directed by Sandeep Modi, the film is described as a large-scale, big-budget spectacle. Production is expected to begin in December 2026. An official announcement, featuring a strong video asset, is reportedly planned for this Diwali and may be attached to the prints of the film ‘Ramayana’.

Aaryan is currently involved in several other projects, including ‘Captain India’, an untitled romance drama directed by Anurag Basu, and ‘Naagzilla’.
