Karuizawa Prince Hotel announces autumn tourism collaboration

Karuizawa Prince Hotel has announced a collaborative autumn tourism initiative titled ‘Kumano Kodai Shrine Kaiun Meguri Tabis’ (Good Fortune Tour), running from September 24 to October 31, 2026. The project involves partnerships with Kumano Kodai Shrine and the Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza to integrate local history, culture, and shopping experiences.

Key offerings include specialized accommodation plans featuring limited-edition amulets, Yatagarasu fortune slips, and shopping vouchers. For guests staying in dog cottages, the hotel is providing a service to create paw print keepsakes to commemorate their travels with their pets.

Additionally, the hotel’s ‘Sofu’ restaurant will serve a ‘Gofuku Sukiyaki Course’ priced at 20,000 yen per person. The menu is inspired by the five blessings of the shrine—health, longevity, good connections, financial fortune, and happiness—and utilizes ingredients that have received prayers at the Momijiki Shinden shrine.
