Karuizawa's Mid‑August Open‑Air Terrace Izakaya 'Kutsukake Yūsuge BAR 2026' Launches Weekly

From August 1 to August 22, 2024, the area in front of Karuizawa Station will transform into a seasonal open‑air terrace izakaya called “Kutsukake Yūsuge BAR 2026”. The event runs each Saturday (August 1, 8, 15, 22) from 16:30 to 20:30 and offers a range of drinks and foods, including wines from two local wineries, craft beer, a deer‑meat hot‑dog truck, yakitori, baked goods, ice‑shaved desserts and specialty coffee.

Visitors receive a limited‑time drink‑voucher worth ¥300 (one per person, first‑come, first‑served). Live music is provided by the acoustic duo “Hohoemu” (vocals Yuka Imaizumi, guitar Yuichiro Mahe). The market is organized by Shinshu Marche Create and features numerous local food stalls, craft vendors and a small accessories and fortune‑telling corner.
