Castorama Polska implements Synerise Big Data system
Castorama Polska has begun implementing an advanced Big Data system developed by the Polish company Synerise. The new tool is designed to integrate data from both physical stores and digital channels to provide real-time customer personalization.
The implementation aims to overcome the limitations of traditional relational databases, which struggle to handle the massive volume of information generated by Castorama’s network of 109 stores and 12,000 employees. The company reported a 30% increase in online sales for the 2025/26 fiscal year, making the integration of physical and digital sales critical.
Synerise’s technology will allow the retailer to move from historical reporting to predictive analytics, enabling real-time decision-making across the organization. Additionally, Castorama has confirmed the opening of a new store in Żywiec on September 30, located in the former Tesco building.
In Żywiec, the market will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 21:00, and Saturdays from 7:00 to 20:00. The facility represents a repurposing of a large commercial space that had remained significantly underutilized since Tesco exited the Polish market in 2021.
