Karviná seniors compete in non-traditional sports games
Seniors in Karviná participated in the annual Non-traditional Sports Games, an event designed to promote active leisure, social interaction, and teamwork. The competition featured eight original disciplines focused on dexterity, coordination, and fine motor skills rather than raw physical strength.
Activities included tasks such as throwing balls into large trousers and sorting colored balls into muffin tins. The event, held under the OKD Foundation project ‘Life Says: Movement is Healthy’, saw participation from 70 seniors representing seven municipal clubs, 10 members of the Association of the Physically Disabled, and 10 participants from the sister city of Rybník, Poland.
