Karşıyaka Municipality hosts urban transformation summit

Karşıyaka Municipality organized a summit to evaluate urban transformation processes, bringing together public institutions, professional organizations, and industry representatives. Following previous information sessions for citizens, this meeting specifically addressed the needs of contractors and the real estate sector.

The summit focused on the technical, legal, and economic dimensions of urban renewal. A key component of the discussions involved the World Bank credit support, with experts providing detailed presentations on the conditions and usage of these loans.

Participants included officials from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, as well as representatives from the Contractors Federation and the Izmir Chamber of Commerce. Karşıyaka Mayor Yıldız Ünsal emphasized the importance of urban transformation for creating safer, more resilient structures in the earthquake-prone city of Izmir.
