Karşıyaka Municipality opens scholarship applications

Karşıyaka Municipality has announced that scholarship applications for the ‘Karşıyaka’nın Filizleri’ project will open for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications begin on Tuesday, September 1, and interested students must apply in person at the municipality’s scholarship office on the 7th floor by Friday, September 25.

The project aims to promote equality in education by connecting university students in need with philanthropic citizens. Notably, the initiative operates without using municipal budget resources, relying entirely on donations from individuals, local businesses, and non-governmental organizations. In the previous year, the project provided approximately 5 million TL in scholarship support to about 250 university students.

Mayor Yıldız Ünsal expressed commitment to supporting the educational journeys of young people and thanked the donors contributing to the solidarity network.
