Karşıyaka Municipality sees record enrollment for folk dance courses
Karşıyaka Municipality has announced record enrollment for its free folk dance courses, with 980 participants registered for the upcoming season. The program aims to preserve cultural heritage by teaching traditional dances from various regions of Turkey.
The training is organized into age-specific groups under the ‘7 to 77’ Municipal Folk Dance Community. Lessons for children (ages 9–15) and youth (ages 15–30) are scheduled to begin on October 2, while sessions for adults aged 30 and older will commence on October 5.
Mayor Yıldız Ünsal expressed satisfaction with the high level of interest, stating that the courses are a valuable way to pass cultural heritage to future generations. The training sessions will take place at the Reşat Leblebicioğlu Bahçelievler Multi-Story Marketplace.
