Kasey Kahne to return to NASCAR racing with Spire Motorsports in 2027
Kasey Kahne, an 18-time NASCAR Cup Series winner, will return to full-time racing in 2027. He has signed with Spire Motorsports to drive the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Kahne is scheduled to make his season debut on February 19, 2027, at Daytona International Speedway. Although he has only made six career starts in the Truck Series, he maintains a high success rate, having won four of those races.
Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson expressed enthusiasm for the signing, noting Kahne's legendary status and the long history between the driver and the organization. Kahne admitted that the opportunity to return to the sport after his hiatus was unexpected.
