Kashi Bai, mother of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, passes away

Kashi Bai, the mother of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, passed away on Friday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhopal following a prolonged respiratory illness. She was 76 years old.

Minister Chouhan shared his grief on social media, stating that her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the family. Her last rites are scheduled to be performed at 3:00 PM in her native village of Jait, located in the Sehore district.

Political leaders from across party lines have expressed their condolences. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath offered prayers for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family. Other officials, including Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal and Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, also extended their sympathies.
