Kashim Shettima conducts diplomatic missions in Angola, India, and New York

Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima has engaged in a series of high-level diplomatic engagements across Luanda, New Delhi, and New York. Representing the administration of President Bola Tinubu, Shettima’s recent travels included participating in the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Angola and attending the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During these missions, Shettima advocated for a doctrine focused on African development, economic empowerment, and human capital. In Luanda, the Nigerian delegation addressed issues regarding the treatment of African citizens abroad, specifically highlighting the challenges faced by Nigerians in South Africa. The diplomatic efforts aimed to shift the global conversation toward ensuring Africa is provided with the necessary tools for development rather than merely receiving lectures on the subject.
