Kashim Shettima celebrated by Nigerian leaders on 60th birthday

Nigerian political leaders and public figures have issued numerous tributes to Vice President Kashim Shettima as he celebrates his 60th birthday.

President Bola Tinubu described Shettima as a ‘trusted ally, patriot and valued partner in governance,’ commending his leadership of the National Economic Council and his previous service as Governor of Borno State. The All Progressives Congress (APC) also released a statement hailing his contributions to national development and his dedication to the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’

Other dignitaries, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and various state governors, praised Shettima’s resilience and intellectual depth. Many noted his ability to lead Borno State through periods of insurgency and his transition from a successful banking career into significant public service roles.
