Kashima Antlers secured their third consecutive victory of the season with a 3-2 win against Avispa Fukuoka in the third round of the J1 League. This victory marks the club’s first opening three-game winning streak in 12 seasons and extends their unbeaten run to a club-record 18 matches.

The match saw a dynamic exchange of goals. Kashima took an early lead through an own goal following a free kick by Ryoya Ogawa, but Fukuoka equalized before halftime via Shusei Morooka, a former Kashima player. In the second half, substitutions proved decisive for Kashima; Leo Seara scored to regain the lead, and substitute Chavric added a third goal following an assist from Yuma Suzuki.
