Kashima Antlers defeat Tokyo Verdy 2-0 to secure fourth consecutive opening win

Kashima Antlers secured a 2-0 victory against Tokyo Verdy in the fourth round of the J1 League, marking their fourth consecutive opening win—a feat not achieved by the club since 2008.

Leo Seara scored both goals for Kashima. The first goal came in the 42nd minute following a counterattack initiated by Eber, and the second arrived in the 50th minute from a corner kick. Despite the win, Tokyo Verdy suffered a setback as Koki Morita was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher due to a leg injury in the 41st minute.

Kashima's performance has been bolstered by defender Ryoya Ogawa, who has recorded three assists in four matches. Manager Toru Oniki expressed confidence in the team's evolving style of play and Ogawa's growing impact on the pitch.
