Kashiwa City Public Market to host family event

The Kashiwa City Public Market will host a special public opening day on October 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The event is designed to allow the general public to experience the market, which is typically reserved for professional wholesale activities.

For the first time, the market will introduce family-oriented activities, including crayfish fishing and fish touching and photography sessions for children. The event will also feature tastings, promotions, and sales of ‘Chiba Brand’ certified seafood, such as Choshi Kinme and Edomae Funabashi sea bass.

Additional attractions include a shopping stamp rally with prizes, seasonal vegetable and fruit sales, and all-you-can-fill onion and potato stations. The market will also offer various flowers, plants, meat, seaweed, tea, and other daily goods.
