KASİAD to host 5th annual awards ceremony in Kahramanmaraş

The Kahramanmaraş Industrialists and Businessmen Association (KASİAD) will hold its 5th annual awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 20, at Grand Flora. The event aims to honor individuals and institutions that contribute to the economic, social, cultural, and artistic development of Kahramanmaraş.

Awards will be presented across 12 distinct categories, including tourism, gastronomy, academia, art, sports, literature, social responsibility, and innovation. Specific categories include Year's Tourism Ambassador, Year's Social Responsibility Project, Year's Artist, Year's Academician, and Year's Local Innovative Product, among others.

KASİAD Chairman İsmail Dinçer emphasized that urban development cannot be measured solely by economic indicators like production capacity or exports. He noted that for a city to reach its full potential, progress in arts, sports, and culture must accompany industrial growth, particularly as Kahramanmaraş navigates recovery following the February 6 earthquakes.
