Kasper Søndergaard becomes head coach of Sønderjyske Herrehåndbold

Kasper Søndergaard has transitioned from his role as an assistant coach in Skjern to become the head coach of Sønderjyske Herrehåndbold. The career move requires his family to relocate from West Jutland to Sønderborg, a decision that has caused significant disruption to his children's daily lives.

Søndergaard described the move as a “terribly selfish decision” because of the impact on his children's routine, though he stated he has “zero percent bad conscience” regarding the professional step. The family plans to complete the move to Sønderborg before Christmas.

On the professional front, Søndergaard's first major challenge involves a league match against the Danish champions, Aalborg Håndbold. His tenure has already seen a cup victory over HC Midtjylland.
