Kassel and Ganderkesee showcase concerts and art exhibitions

In Kassel, pianist Gerlint Böttcher performed a program of works by Chopin, Liszt, Saint‑Saëns, Bizet, Brahms and Mozart at the Augustinum Festsaal on 19 August. The city’s cultural calendar also includes a salon‑music session at the Sandershaus, a literary salon presenting Markus Orths’s novel, the opening of the "Leonardo’s Machines to Touch" exhibition, a historic tour of the Weinbergbunker, a local market with live music, and an open poetry house featuring the Brückner‑Kühner literary couple.

In Ganderkesee, the 3x3‑Wandelkonzerte on 5 September expanded to include visual‑art displays at the church, town hall and Kulturhaus Müller, with the artworks remaining on view until 20 September. The series, now in its eleventh edition, combines classical, jazz and folk music with exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and projections, aiming to extend the cultural experience beyond the concert day.

Both towns are promoting a blend of music and visual art to enrich local cultural life.
