Kassel court trial begins over violent Chihuahua dispute

Three individuals are facing trial at the Kassel Regional Court following a violent dispute over the sale of a Chihuahua in 2020. The defendants include two women, aged 30 and 31, and a 66-year-old man.

According to prosecutors, the conflict began when a man purchased the dog via eBay for 800 euros. After the sale, a second advertisement appeared online offering the same dog for 2,000 euros. The 66-year-old defendant reportedly alerted the original owner to the price discrepancy.

The group subsequently traveled to Kassel to confront the buyer. The prosecution alleges that the women used pepper spray and physical violence in an attempt to forcibly reclaim the dog. The women face charges of aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm, while the man is charged with aiding and abetting.
