Kassidy Keith wins ATCO Cup Grand Prix CSI 3*

Kassidy Keith secured her first international 1.50m win at the ATCO Cup Grand Prix CSI 3* during the Summer Fort Classic at Thunderbird Show Park on August 16, 2026. Riding her 13-year-old mare, Havana, Keith achieved a winning time of 42.31 seconds in the jump-off.

Keith attributed her victory to a strategic shift in riding style, prioritizing balance and smoothness over raw speed to avoid penalties. She noted that by slowing down slightly before the final fence, she was able to maintain Havana’s balance. This approach follows a recent focus on achieving clear rounds rather than aggressive turns. Keith also credited a recent bridle change for improving the mare’s jumping power and stability.

In the jump-off, Keith outperformed American riders Karrie Rufer on Mr. Europe, who finished in 44.46 seconds, and Bryna Closson on Meteorite Rise, who clocked 45.32 seconds.
