Kasson Woman Charged in Violent Bottle Assault

Thirty‑year‑old Johana Parada was arraigned in Dodge County Court on felony charges of second‑degree assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault after a violent incident in Kasson, Minnesota. Parada’s conditional bail was set at $50,000.

Police responded to a medical call at a Kwik Trip in Kasson early Friday and found a man with a deep gash on his left arm, blood on his clothing and a black rag wrapped around the wound. The victim said Parada attacked him with a beer bottle and a larger liquor bottle at her residence, later biting, pulling his hair and punching him before he escaped to the store for help. He is scheduled for surgery to address nerve damage.

Court documents note Parada has two prior domestic‑assault convictions, one in Illinois in 2017 and another in Olmsted County, Minnesota, in 2024.
