Kastamonu University Red Pony Cup show jumping equestrian sports Ankara

The equestrian team from Kastamonu University’s Daday Nafi and Ümit Çeri Vocational School achieved multiple successes at the Red Pony Cup Show Jumping Competitions held in Ankara. Led by team chief Ayhan Şanlı, the team secured two first-place finishes and one third-place finish.

During the first day of the competition, Bahar Gülse Çeliker took first place riding the horse Sirius de Virton. The university team also secured first place in the general classification on the same day. On the second day, Çeliker earned a third-place trophy.

The university’s equestrian capabilities have been bolstered by a 1,000-square-meter indoor arena and specialized horses provided through the support of the Kastamonu University Rectorate. These resources support the Horse Breeding and Coaching Program, aiming to integrate practical training with competitive experience.

Prof. Dr. Tolga Ulusoy, Director of the Daday Nafi and Ümit Çeri Vocational School, expressed gratitude to Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal and the Turkish Equestrian Federation for their financial and institutional support.
