Kastamonu village road paved for child's physical therapy
In the Devrekani district of Kastamonu, a village road has been paved to assist 4-year-old Kürşat Kılıçoğlu with his physical rehabilitation. Kürşat suffers from walking and posture impairments that require him to perform walking exercises for four hours daily using specialized footwear.
While Kürşat had begun to show progress through physical therapy and pool sessions, the rocky and sandy terrain of the village roads in Doğuörcünler village made it difficult for him to practice. His mother, Nurten Kılıçoğlu, noted that while he could walk in the city, he was afraid of falling on the uneven village paths.
Following an intervention by the village headman, Ünal Kılıçoğlu, local authorities including the district governorship, the governorate, and the special provincial administration coordinated the asphalt paving of the road to ensure the child can complete his necessary exercises safely.
