Kastav to host beekeeping and honey quality conferences

Kastav will host two events focused on beekeeping and consumer education on October 16 and 17.

On October 16, the 15th National Conference on the Safety and Quality of Bee Products will take place. The conference aims to review the development of Croatian beekeeping since 2011, focusing on legislative changes, analytical methods, and the safety and authenticity of bee products. It serves as a platform for exchanging experiences between producers and experts.

On October 17, the eighth edition of the 'Green-Blue Beekeeping Orientation 2026' will be held. This public event is designed to educate consumers about different types of honey from coastal and continental Croatia. The program includes three zones: a Blue Zone for coastal honey, a Green Zone for continental honey, and a Black Zone dedicated to identifying common honey adulterations in the Croatian market.
