Kastriot Dyrmishi arrested in Durrës for drug trafficking

Police in Durrës, Albania, have arrested 43-year-old Kastriot Dyrmishi, an internationally wanted individual, following an operation codenamed ‘Wanted 37’. Dyrmishi was apprehended in the Nr. 17/1 neighborhood.

Dyrmishi had been sentenced by the Court of Appeal in Florence, Italy, to 14 years in prison for drug trafficking. He has 12 years, 9 months, and 24 days remaining on his sentence. Following his arrest, Interpol Tirana is coordinating with Italian authorities to finalize his extradition to Italy.
