Kaszás Attila Award finalists announced for public vote
The finalists for this year's Kaszás Attila Award have been announced, and public voting has officially commenced. In an unusual move, the winner will be chosen by the audience from four nominees: Boróka Bartha (Figura Stúdió Színház), Zoltán Kelemen (Weöres Sándor Színház), András Ötvös (Vígszínház), and Lujza Pap (Hevesi Sándor Színház).
The finalists and short films documenting their work were presented on September 1 at the Örkény István Theater. The award, established in 2008, honors actors who demonstrate exceptional artistic performance alongside a commitment to their ensemble and community-building qualities, reflecting the legacy of the late Attila Kaszás.
Public voting is scheduled to run until September 15. The announcement event featured remarks from Máté Gáspár, director of the Örkény István Theater, and Péter Rudolf, director of the Vígszínház, who noted that the nominees embody the humility and community spirit characteristic of Kaszás.
