Kat Dennings recounts scrapping a revealing scene on ‘2 Broke Girls’

Actor Kat Dennings recently shared an anecdote on TikTok regarding her experience on the CBS sitcom ‘2 Broke Girls’. During an early season table read, a scene was proposed where her character, Max, and her co-star, Caroline, would run around an apartment set wearing only bras.

Dennings approached showrunner Michael Patrick King to request that the scene be cut or that the characters be clothed. When King initially resisted the request, Dennings reportedly told him, ‘You don’t pay me enough for a bra scene.’ Following this exchange, the scene was removed from the production.

Dennings noted that while she felt she lacked significant leverage at the time due to being young and working on a successful show, she encouraged her followers to ‘never underestimate yourself.’
