Katamari Mizukawa stars in stage play ‘Haru yo Koi, Maji de Koi’

The stage play ‘Haru yo Koi, Maji de Koi’ opened on October 23 at the Tokyo Tatemono Pia Theater. The production marks the first stage appearance and leading role for Katamari Mizukawa, a member of the comedy duo Kuuki Kaidan.

Set in Asagaya, Tokyo, approximately 25 years ago during the Heisei era, the story is a bittersweet ensemble drama about men in their late twenties struggling to achieve their dreams. The protagonist, Takashi Oyama, is an aspiring screenwriter who faces professional failures and personal struggles. The play explores the unglamorous reality of pursuing ambitions, balancing comedy with human drama.

The production features a cast including Yuya Miyashita, Natsuki Kato, and Koki Nagamura, with direction and scriptwriting by Maggie. The musical elements are provided by the group HONEBONE.
