Katarina Višić's 'Industrija snova' Exhibition Opens in Herceg Novi

Montenegrin visual artist Katarina Višić debuted her first solo exhibition, "Industrija snova," at the Sue Ryder Gallery in Herceg Novi. The showcase features paintings and drawings of industrial interiors, warehouses and landscapes that deliberately omit human figures, exploring how space can convey presence without people.

Višić, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje and a master’s student, described the work as a dialogue between “industry” as a process of creation and “dreams” as personal narrative. Critics, including art commentator Vitka Vujinović, noted that the absence of figures amplifies the psychological impact of the depicted environments, inviting viewers to contemplate the lingering traces of human activity.

The exhibition attracted a mix of local residents, tourists and art enthusiasts, marking a significant step in Višić’s artistic career and contributing to Herceg Novi’s cultural offerings.
