Katarzyna Ankudowicz sues Polish State and Warsaw over smog

Actress Katarzyna Ankudowicz has filed a lawsuit against the Polish State Treasury and the authorities of Warsaw, citing inaction regarding the fight against smog. Ankudowicz, who has suffered from respiratory issues since childhood, stated that the poor air quality in the capital has directly impacted her health and daily well-being.

Ankudowicz noted that her decision to pursue legal action was motivated by a desire to raise awareness about the health impacts of air pollution rather than seeking financial compensation. She mentioned that while some in the artistic community were hesitant to join due to potential political implications, her goal was to hold successive governments accountable for failing to address the issue.
