Katarzyna Kawa (ranked No. 121) lost in the final qualifying round of Wimbledon to American Kayla Day, 2‑6, 5‑7, missing a spot in the main draw. Day, who ranked No. 84 earlier this year, celebrated the win after a tragic year in which she lost both parents.

Maja Chwalińska, French Open finalist, received a "wild card" entry for Wimbledon despite not qualifying directly, joining Iga Świątek, Magda Linette and Magdalena Fręch as the four Polish women slated to compete. Świątek began her Bad Homburg WTA‑500 campaign against Emma Navarro.
