Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and Krzysztof Stanowski clash over KPO funds
A public dispute has emerged between Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and journalist Krzysztof Stanowski regarding the allocation of EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (KPO) funds.
Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz announced that 35 billion PLN from the KPO has arrived in Poland, with an additional 55 billion PLN expected by the end of the year. She emphasized that these funds are intended for essential public services, including nurseries, public transport, social housing, disability support, and infrastructure in small towns.
Stanowski, head of Kanał Zero, responded to the announcement with a video featuring him on a luxury yacht, sparking criticism from the Minister. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz accused Stanowski of mocking investments that benefit working families and those in underserved areas. Stanowski has countered the criticism, maintaining his stance on how the funds are being managed.
