Kate Middleton completes Three Peaks Challenge to boost cancer awareness

Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, finished the demanding Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, covering 37 km with 3 064 m of ascent in 24 hours. The effort was undertaken to raise awareness of the broader impacts of cancer and to support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which provides holistic care for patients.

In a post‑challenge message she said, “Cancer does not only affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and impacts every aspect of life.” The princess, who announced her own cancer diagnosis in 2024 and reported remission in early 2025, highlighted the need for holistic treatment that aids mental resilience and quality of life. Family members, including Prince William and their three children, joined her at the final summit.

Funds raised will help more cancer patients access the integrated support offered by the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, emphasizing the importance of combining clinical treatment with supportive therapies.
