Kate Middleton urges support for pediatric hospices and early‑childhood education

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales and patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in Wales, published a letter for Children’s Hospice Week. In the message she highlighted the vital role of pediatric hospices in providing joyful, supportive environments for seriously ill children and their families, and called for greater public awareness and donations.

She also released a separate letter reflecting on her recent visit to Reggio Emilia, Italy. In that note she praised the city’s early‑childhood approach, emphasizing love, creativity and contact with nature as foundations for children’s development and for stronger communities. The princess linked both initiatives to her broader advocacy for children’s wellbeing through the Centre for Early Childhood.
