Kate Middleton warned she married into the ‘wrong family’ over horse allergy
Royal broadcaster Simon Vigar told GB News that the Princess of Wales was warned early in her relationship with Prince William that she was “marrying into the wrong family” because she does not share the royal family’s passion for horses. Vigar said the comment was made at a polo match when Kate, who is allergic to horses, was seen hiding in a marquee and expressed her lack of interest in the sport.
Vigar noted that among the senior women of the Windsor family only Queen Camilla is an avid equestrian, while Diana, Meghan and Kate are not. He added that Kate has tried to overcome her allergy through immunotherapy and exposure, but the remark about “marrying into the wrong family” has resurfaced ahead of the release of Vigar’s book on the power behind the Crown.
