Netflix announces ‘The Unheard’ starring Kate Winslet
Netflix has announced ‘The Unheard’, a new five-part limited series starring Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake. The project was revealed by Anne Mensah, Netflix UK content head, during the Edinburgh TV Festival.
Written by Jack Thorne, known for the acclaimed drama ‘Adolescence’, the series is described as a vengeance thriller in the vein of ‘Thelma & Louise’. The plot follows two sisters who go on the run after an act of vengeance goes wrong, exploring the motivations behind their reckless actions and the consequences of their flight.
Directed by Mounia Akl, the production involves Warp Films, Matriarch Productions, and Plan B. Winslet will also serve as an executive producer. Filming is expected to commence next year.
