Kateřina Konečná joins Patriots for Europe group in European Parliament

Czech MEP Kateřina Konečná, representing the Stačilo! coalition, has announced her decision to join the Patriots for Europe (PfE) group in the European Parliament. Konečná stated that an analysis of voting patterns and political statements showed her coalition's program aligns most closely with the PfE group.

The move has drawn significant political commentary in the Czech Republic. Critics, such as Vladimír Mertlík, have characterized the shift as a strategic political calculation, while supporters like Klára Dostálová have defended the decision, stating that the PfE group focuses on common sense rather than strict ideology and that Konečná will represent the interests of Czech citizens.
