Kateřina Neumannová addresses daughter's paternity mystery

Olympic cross-country skiing champion Kateřina Neumannová has addressed the long-standing mystery regarding the identity of her daughter Lucie’s father. In their joint podcast, ‘Krize neexistuje’, Neumannová revealed that she allowed her former partner and manager, Josef Jindra, to persuade her to keep their relationship unofficial, which led to her refusing to publicly confirm his paternity for many years.

Neumannová admitted that her decision to remain silent was a mistake, noting that the secrecy caused difficulties for her daughter. The discussion also touched upon Neumannová’s decision to retire from professional sports and coaching to focus on being a present mother, as she raised Lucie as a single parent following her Olympic success in 2006.
