Katerina Stanishi discusses mother's health and personal losses

Greek singer Katerina Stanishi has shared personal details regarding her mother’s health and her own experiences with loss. During an appearance on the show ‘Super Katerina’, Stanishi revealed that her mother has been bedridden for nine years. She described the mental and emotional challenges of caregiving, noting that her mother’s declining health has led to cognitive changes and occasional outbursts of verbal abuse or physical aggression.

Stanishi also addressed the recent passing of Giorgos Mazonakis at age 54. Reflecting on their past professional collaboration, she expressed sadness over his sudden death and noted the public's anger regarding the circumstances. Additionally, she touched upon her own resilience, mentioning that she has continued to perform professionally despite facing significant personal losses, including the deaths of her father and brother.
