Kateryna Evangelatou's Macbeth opens pre‑sale for Athens production

Pre‑sales for the new Greek staging of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth opened on July 30. The production is directed by Kateryna Evangelatou, who returns to Greece after a successful tenure in China where she presented Aristophanes’ Lysistrata with an all‑Chinese cast. The play will premiere on Friday, 13 November, at the Theatre Kateryna Vasilakou‑Mariana Toli in Athens.

The lead roles are performed by George Gallos as Macbeth and Karyofyllia Karampeti as Lady Macbeth. The show is produced by the cultural organization Lycofos, headed by Giorgos Lykkiardopoulos, and features a mix of established and younger Greek actors. Early‑bird tickets for the first month of performances are being offered at a discounted price.
