At the 2026 Equestrian World Championships in Aachen, dressage legend Isabell Werth secured her 14th career World Championship medal, earning bronze in the Grand Prix Kür with the mare Wendy de Fontaine. Her performance, scored at 88.650 percent, delighted the 40,000 spectators in the sold-out stadium.
British rider Charlotte Fry won the gold medal riding Glamourdale, followed by Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour in second place. Earlier in the competition, Katharina Hemmer had secured a bronze medal in the Grand Prix Special with Denoix PC, setting a personal best, though she opted not to compete in the Kür following a recent injury break.
In the eventing discipline, the competition moved to the cross-country phase. Julia Krajewski currently leads the individual standings with Uelzener’s Nickel, closely followed by Michael Jung. The British team maintains a narrow lead in the team standings over Germany.
