Katharina Schammann reopens Café Herzglück in Schwabach as second site, while Café Sommerfeld adds Friday dinner service

Katharina Schammann, the owner of Café Herzglück in Nürnberg, announced the opening of a second location in her original town of Schwabach. The new shop will be at Königstraße 1, near the market square, and will again serve coffee, self‑baked cakes, grilled breads, as well as vegan and gluten‑free options. Schammann moved the café from Schwabach to Nürnberg in 2024 but decided to return because many loyal customers remain in the area.

Café Sommerfeld, run by Charlotte Heinzelmann and Kerstin Breuer at the Beetz‑Sommerfeld station, celebrated its first anniversary. It is now open on Fridays from 12:00 to 19:00 and weekends from 10:00 to 17:00, and has introduced a Friday‑evening "Abendbrottafel" where guests share meals such as red‑beet‑cream toast, Bulettchen with potato salad, bockwurst, cheese fondue and other dishes. The venue also hosts private events, breakfast groups and special themed meals.
