Katherine Peralta expands Sarai Clothing to physical store in Boston

Dominican entrepreneur Katherine Peralta has expanded her fashion brand, Sarai Clothing, from a home-based operation to a physical retail presence in Boston, Massachusetts. Originally from Villa Sombrero, Baní, Peralta immigrated to the United States 17 years ago to seek better opportunities for her family.

After working various jobs in the service and cleaning sectors while completing her education and English studies, Peralta launched Sarai Clothing in November 2021. The brand, named after her youngest daughter, initially operated out of her apartment closet. Driven by social media engagement and customer recommendations, the business grew to serve clients across the United States and the Dominican Republic, eventually establishing a digital community of over 44,000 followers.
