Kathikas and Fasoula to host traditional Cypriot festivals

Two traditional festivals are scheduled to take place in Cyprus on August 21, celebrating local culinary customs and seasonal produce.

In the Paphos district, the village of Kathikas will host its annual Grape Festival at the community parking lot starting at 8:00 PM. The event will feature free grapes for visitors, food and drink options, and live music by singer Stelios Dionysiou, presented by Rikkos Ioannou.

Simultaneously, in the Limassol district, the village of Fasoula will hold its 35th Fasoula Resi Festival at the Cultural Square beginning at 8:30 PM. The festival focuses on resi, a traditional meat and wheat-based dish associated with rural wedding customs in the Paphos and Limassol districts. The program will include music and dancing.
