Kathryn Newton series ‘Just One Day’ moves from Amazon to Hulu

The young adult drama series ‘Just One Day’ has moved from Amazon to Hulu for development. Based on the popular romance novel series by Gayle Forman, the project stars Kathryn Newton as Allyson Healey, a character whose life is meticulously planned until a chance encounter with a free-spirited actor named Willem transforms her perspective.

The project was originally being developed at Amazon under a first-look agreement held by executive producer Patrick Moran through PKM Productions. While that iteration did not move forward, the adaptation is undergoing redevelopment at Hulu with the original writing team, Sherri Cooper-Landsman and Jennifer Levin, still involved.

Newton, known for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and various horror films, is also serving as a producer on the series. No release date has been announced for the project.
