Kathy Garver criticizes MCU Spider-Man films

Kathy Garver, actress known for voicing Fire-Star in the 1981–1983 animated series ‘Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends’, has expressed criticism regarding the recent Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Spider-Man films.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 80-year-old actress noted that the portrayal of Peter Parker in the Tom Holland era feels ‘desolate’ and ‘all alone.’ Garver suggested that the character undergoes excessive hardship and lacks the emotional warmth and support found in earlier iterations. She remarked that the newer films seem to lack the ‘emotional quotient’ and warmth associated with the character’s creator, Stan Lee.

While the latest release, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ focuses on Peter Parker’s journey through loneliness, it has simultaneously achieved significant box office success.
