Katia Olascoaga Perea leads Colima mayor approval ratings

Katia Olascoaga Perea, the acting municipal president of Manzanillo, recorded the highest approval rating among five mayors in Colima according to September 2026 data from Demoscopia. Her approval reached 55.6 percent, a 3.5 point increase from August.

Olascoaga assumed the role temporarily following a leave of absence requested by Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera. Other mayors included in the state-wide measurement were Esther Gutiérrez Andrade of Villa de Álvarez (54.2 percent), Armando Reyna Magaña of Tecomán (53.9 percent), Riult Rivera Gutiérrez of Colima (52.3 percent), and Lupita Solís Ramírez of Cuauhtémoc (51.7 percent).
