Television presenter Katie Piper has spoken out against a wave of online abuse regarding her physical appearance following the National Television Awards. Piper, who attended the ceremony with her colleagues from the programme ‘Loose Women’, reported that she initially felt confident and happy with her appearance during the event.

The hostility intensified after her appearance was featured in an interview with ‘Women & Home’ magazine. Piper shared an emotional video expressing her distress over comments criticizing her face and alleging excessive use of cosmetic fillers. She noted that while she attempts to ignore such judgments, the sheer volume of negative notifications has been difficult to manage.

Piper reminded her followers that despite her public profile, she is an ordinary person navigating life as a wife, mother, and daughter. She challenged those posting abusive remarks to reflect on their motivations for attacking strangers online.
