Katja Kokot criticizes Resnica leader over land sale in Kranj

Katja Kokot, a member of the Resnica party, has publicly criticized party leader Zoran Stevanović following controversy regarding land in Kranj. The dispute involves Stevanović’s efforts to secure an investor to purchase land for the construction of an Orthodox church.

Kokot expressed concerns regarding the sale of Slovenian land to foreign entities and stated she is becoming "risky political capital" due to her refusal to support all party actions or accept double standards.

Additionally, Kokot has faced backlash from cross-border workers who commute to Austria. These workers claim the party has failed to deliver on pre-election promises regarding fairer tax treatment. The Union of Migrant Workers of Slovenia (SDMS) has criticized Kokot’s rhetoric, describing her recent communications as patronizing and dismissive of their ongoing struggles with tax uncertainty and high income tax surcharges.
