Katowice announces tender for new social housing project

Katowickie Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego (KTBS) has launched a tender for a new residential and service development at ul. Kossutha 11 in Katowice. The project involves the demolition of an existing six-story Leipzig-type office building to make way for a modern complex.

The new facility will feature 78 apartments, along with office and service premises, storage units, a bicycle room, a stroller room, technical rooms, and garages. The investment will cover an area of nearly 8,000 square meters.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027, with completion expected by mid-2029. KTBS has already obtained a building permit and received a positive creditworthiness assessment from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, which facilitates access to preferential loans. If the tender process proceeds without appeals and remains within budget, a contract with the general contractor is expected to be signed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
